I would like to apply for a Junior deckhand role. I have just finished working unpaid as a member of the crew on a 73ft sailing yacht. We sailed between Gibraltar & Mersin in Turkey. Although only four weeks experience, I learnt lots, worked four & six hour shifts, including night watch. I recently completed my Deckhand Crew Training at UKSA in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight and am hoping to find my first job on a motor yacht, where I can put all that I have learned, both in training & my recent role, into practice. Whilst I only have limited experience, you will see from my CV that during my school & university holidays I undertook several jobs where I worked long hours, sometimes in difficult conditions. Being a motivated team member with a can-do, no drama attitude served me well. I welcome new challenges, will learn fast from my superiors and hope to progress through the industry.
